The CCEG21 'family' is a well established group of instructors many of which have well over 26years hands on experience living with and training their own dogs as well as instructing classes. The most recent members who help us are all experienced dog owners and handlers who are expanding their knowledge of instructing group classes. All have experience working with people in their day jobs alongside what they do with CCEG21 and are combining these skills to allow us to offer more classes.
Alongside any courses taken privately, depending on interest and experience, we regularly discuss thoughts and theories on dog training, behaviour, nutrition and care and how we can incorporate any relevant training into our classes. Small Dog class was started as a result of one of these many discussions!
Although we hadn't managed to be together much during 2020 we all spoke regularly and a few of us completed online courses ranging from Canine Body Language and Facial Expression to Hoopers Awards, 'Sexier than a Squirrel' Challenges, Beginner and Novice 1 Gun Dog Courses and a Canine First Aid course. We all explored teaching our own dogs further obedience, skills in scent work, fun and games and some trick training. Much of which is incorporated into our classes now!
The broad range of knowledge and skills found among our instructors and assistants are used to help trainee instructors as well as class members and those seeking advice that come along to observe. Observation of classes is by invitation only but we are more than happy to 'talk dog' if advice is needed!
